Meet The Sniper

For those of you who haven't seen it already, "Meet The Sniper", the latest in Valve's "Meet The Team" series has been out for some time now and you can watch it on either Steam or head on over to any of the numerous gaming websites such as IGN, GameTrailers, etc. For those of you who want to download a copy for yourself in HD or any of the other "Meet The Team" videos in HD be sure to visit Team Fortress 2's Gametrailers page.

Pyro Axetinguisher

The third and final upgradeable weapon in the Pyro's arsenal, the Axetinguisher guarantees critical hits when used against enemies that have been set on fire (by you or somebody else), but it becomes weaker against enemies that have yet to be molested by the almighty flame. Unless you're very efficient at setting your enemies ablaze and quickly axeing them (Is axeing a real word?) I'd recommend you stay away from it. Although if yourself and a friend are both Pyros, that's when division of labour (yeah I spelled labor with a U!) comes in handy; one of you burn, and the other finish off the poor shish kabob with the axe.

Pyro Upgraded Weapon: Flare Gun

One of the three new upgrades to the Pyro's arsenal, as well as the first unlockable weapon via the completion of achievements, is the Flare Gun; the second most useful upgrade to the Pyro. The Flare Gun is a large red pistol, limited to flare in it's chamber at a time, and carries an approximate four second reload time, it sets the target on fire as well as inflicting some contact damage. A significanly more useful long-range weapon than the standard shotgun in some cases while being a useless short-range weapon in others. EXTREMELY useful against snipers, who need to keep their distance and hide in the shadows, as well as engineers that must maintain close proximity to their structures, but scouts, with a small health reserve (although you'd need very good timing and accurace) are vulnerabule as well as medics (for obvious reasons). It is however, useless against other Pyros (fire-proof), heavies (large health reserve). As for soldiers and demomen? Well. . . that depends on how much remaining health they have as well as your accuracy. Spies will avoid you at any cost, but if you do happen to shoot a cloaked spy, finish him off, he hasn't long to live anyway.

The Pyro's Compressed Air Shot

As you know by now, TF2 has a new trio of weapons to add to it's Pyro class, The Backburner, Flare Gun, and The Axetinguisher. But in my opinion the most useful update to the Pyro's arsenal is the ability to fire a shot of compressed air from the standard Flamethrower, an upgrade given to all players without the need to fufill any achievements. Along with now being able to send Demomen and Soldiers' grenades, sticky-bombs, and rockets back at them; the compressed air gives the Pyro a chance to seperate medics from their partners as well as set enemies ablaze and quickly blast them away to avoid close-range damage. This, of course, is possible only with the sacrifice of 25 ammunition points and is therefore limited to only eight uses before the need to seek metal, and combined with the standard use of the Flamethrower, it can quickly render the weapon dry.

Pyro Updates!

According to steam news, the Pyro updates will be released today! As the second class in TF2 to receive updated weapons, you can be sure that there WILL be a huge influx of Pyros on most servers, dedicated Pyro achievement servers are bound to pop up as well. For a more complete breakdown of the three new weapons; The Flare Gun, Backburner, and Axetinguisher as well as a full list of the 35 new achievements necessary to earn all three head over to the Pyro's steam page. Be sure to get all three, and be sure to join your fellow clan members, it's much easier to earn achievements when you're working together.

MM's First Web-Site

Welcome to MM's blog. For now, this will also serve as our clan's official web-page, we'll purchase and operate our own web-site later on. Be sure to check back for regular updates, we're well on our way towards the following:
-Our own interdependent server (TF2)
-Custom web-site (Clan)
-PayPal Donations

Don't expect to wait too long though, I'll be working as fast as possible to get this all up and running, in the meantime, be sure to continue finding new people that we can recruit so that MM can keep growing.
